Manager Spotlight

KATHLEEN ROGERS – Nurse Manager, Beth Israel Brooklyn

“I love working at Beth Israel Brooklyn, It's a community hospital in my neighborhood and it's where I bring my own family for care. I have been here for 32 years and am proud of the institution which has helped make me the nurse I am today. We serve a diverse community with quality, kindness and compassion.”

LEONEL MEDINA – Nurse Practitioner, Department of Pain Medicine and Palliative Care

“The breadth and scope of my role as a Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Pain Medicine and Palliative Care gives me a great sense of fulfillment. On any given day, I could be doing clinical rounds while precepting a student nurse practitioner and giving in-service to surgical residents or staff nurses regarding analgesic modalities. Early in the afternoon I could be in a meeting with Pharmacy managers to discuss any issues involving analgesic safety. Then I end the day reviewing challenging cases with my collaborating physician.”

MARIA LATRACE – Director, Patient Access Services

“BIMC is not just a place where I work – it's my home away from home, a place that is a family. I am privileged to work with a group of professionals who are dedicated to improving health outcomes for our patients. The diversity of both the patients that we serve and our dedicated staff has made my career rewarding and satisfying. Every day I come to work, I am excited as the first day I started here 30 years ago.”
